Our mission

Promote the completion of a road link between the Canadian North-east region (North Shore Quebec and Labrador) and the rest of the continent by the construction of a bridge over the Saguenay River connecting highway 138 between the villages of Baie St. Catherine and Tadoussac.

Who are we

The Society for a Bridge over the Saguenay is a non-profit organization whose goal is to open up the North Shore region to the rest of the continent by replacing the actual ferry boat service by a bridge over the Saguenay River at Tadoussac. It is formed by community representatives and interest groups of the North Shore region. The board of directors includes representatives from the business community, union, municipal and aboriginal representatives, in particular, the Table of prefects of the North Shore, the mayor of Baie-Comeau, the prefects of the MRC Manicouagan and the Upper North Shore, the Chambers of Commerce and a representative of the aboriginal communities.
